Celebrity Health Starts a Trend
Hollywood celebrities have been motivating fans since the beginning of the silver screen. One person walks down the red carpet looking like they rolled right out of bed and before you know it the "messy look" is in. There are those who refuse to accept their role as role model and instead make one bad choice after another until they are the poster child for rehab. There are those who take their personal power to a higher level, literally creating the world they wish to live in, one fan at a time.
If we're really honest with ourselves most of us can admit that our lives aren't nearly as exciting as an epic Hollywood film. The on and off screen capers of the rich and famous are far more interesting than life in a cubical, picking up the kids from daycare or getting milk on the way home from work. With all the insanity in the tabloids and on the gossip shows, with drugs, sex and disposable relationships leading the news, it's hard to believe that anyone in "the industry" can teach us anything. There are those with a very positive agenda and the better they are the harder their impact on the world. Find out more details about Fitness.
Supporting a cause, raising money for a charity or endorsing a political candidate are common celebrity choices. "Eat like a model to look like a model," the newest craze is Lil Wayne health, wellness and new dietary trends. It is no long as important to take beauty tips from a beautiful person just to be beautiful on the outside. The focus is shifting now, and the headlines aren't all about looking great as much as they are about feeling great, inside and out. Yoga, mediation and Eastern Philosophies are very common in Hollywood. What do the red carpet and a humanities class have in common--quotes from the Dali Lama, of course!
The same people who are usually in line to get so-and-so's haircut are now in line for a yoga class, vegan restaurant or lecture on sustainability. Fans are finding peace in a deeper message, one that tells them to love themselves. The word "organic" gets endorsements without paying a dime. Entertainment heroes are being seen in a fuller light as real people rather than just examples of fashion and excess. That has to have a positive effect on the world. We invite celebrities to join us in our homes and on our outings through the television and movies. We know better, but somehow it still feels like they are part of the family. From hospital health scares to adorable pet photos, we follow the lives of these people we've never even met. Wearing their designer shoes helped us pretend that we might be able to walk a mile in their shoes, escaping the hum-drum lives we live long enough to be someone glamorous for a moment. Thanks to their example, we are now walking a mile barefoot, learning to meditate, stretch and be ever present in this moment. We're prioritizing soul over designer shoes, and the world will be better for it.
